College and Career
College KickOff Week
College Kickoff Week is when our counseling department focuses on college and career readiness around campus for the entire week. Typically in October, Sierra counselors create activities and events to ensure all students on campus are prepared for post-secondary college and career goals. Check out how Eagles have celebrated College Kickoff Week over the years.

A-G Requirements
It's never too early to begin planning for college!
The A-G/College Entrance Requirements are the sequence of high school courses that students must complete (with a grade of C or better) to be minimally eligible for admissions to the University of California (UC) and California State University (CSU)
Introducing students to college expectations in middle school will provide students the opportunity to establish a foundation for more in-depth conversations and exploration about their futures in later years.

CCGI for College and Career Readiness
What is CCGI?
CCGI is the California Colleges Guidance Initiative. It is the state of California's official college and career planning platform. It provides lessons and tools to help students discover goals for life after high school, make plans to achieve them, and launch their futures.
How does a student access CCGI Resources?
Sierra Counselors will assist in signing up 7th Grade students for their CCGI accounts during classroom lessons. 8th Graders can access their accounts here: https://www.
Counselors will also provide classroom lessons to teach students how to navigate their CCGI profile.
