Sierra's Eagle Nest

Each month the counseling team will host workshops in the Eagle's Nest for students during their scheduled lunch time. 

 

Monthly Workshops for the 2025-2026 School Year:

 

September - Suicide Awareness/Mental Health

October - National Anti-Bullying Activity

November - Gratitude Journaling

December - Getting Through the Holidays

January - Guided Meditation Activity  

February - Random Acts of Kindness

March - Stay Calm With Coloring

April - Testing Stress Relief

 

 


 

 

Classroom Lessons

Sierra Counselors will provide classroom lessons that focus on Academic skills, Social and Emotional Learning, and College/Career. All students on campus will have access to these lessons, which is crucial for students to be successful in middle school, high school, and post graduation. 

 

 

 

 


 

Small Groups

For students who need additional support, counselors will facilitate various small groups throughout the year that typically last 8-10 weeks. Small group discussion  topics will be determined at the beginning of the school year, based on student need.

  • Provides one-on-on Academic, College-Career, or social-emotional counseling.

  •  Student walk-ins are ok (based on availability). 

  • Students can also be sent by their teacher to the office to speak with their counselor

MTSS Counselor 

  • At Sierra 2-3 days a week. 

  • Weekly check-ins with  specific, pre-determined students. 

  • Can also take student walk-ins (based on availability) for Academic, College-Career, or Social-emotional support.

SAP Counselor

  • Provides one-on-on, social-emotional therapeutic counseling to caseload of students.

  •  Referral needed in order to be seen by the SAP Counselor.

  •  Can sometimes take student walk-ins (based on availability) for social-emotional support.
